Dry-cleaning is a kind of methd to wash your clothes without water, by using unburnable origanic solvent. By using dry-cleaning, we can clean up oil soluble dirts completely, and also protect frabics to change its shape or fading. It is very suitable to be used to wash delicate fabrics such as wools or silks.

But on the other side, water soluble dirts are not easy to be clean up, they will become even dirtier if you keep make it dry-cleaned. Organic solvent can even melt synthetic pigment, so it may make your clothes faded or injure the buttons. You can check the tag and see if your clothes can be dry-cleaned or not.
